Cutter
The tube cut-off machine from MiiC is a system that can rapidly cut coiled material to precise lengths. These clean cuts are achieved by using cutting disks and counter-directional tension. As a result, cut chips are minimized or eliminated entirely.
By regrinding the cutting disk, money is saved on tooling costs. Thanks to the low use of energy, the need for lubrication and coolant is minimal.
• Capable of cutting aluminum, copper, steel and stainless steel tubes
• Tube Diameter: 4.0 mm to 50.0 mm
• Maximum Wall Thickness: 4.0 mm aluminum
• Tube Length: maximum 6500 mm
• Cut Lengths: 50 mm to 5500 mm
• Cutting Method: with disc
• Available Models: GC-20 and GC-50
• Operating System: Windows NT
The MiiC cut-off machines are cutting instruments that cut tubes from a coil or bar stock. The tube separation occurs with the use of a cutting disk and tension. Thanks to the minimal expenditure of energy, grease and coolant are not needed. With this process no shavings are produced during tube separation. Heating is minimal therefore greasing is not required.
Suitable for tube diameters between 4 mm and 50 mm, MiiC cut-off machines allow for a separating process that is quick, simple and precise. With the addition of a decoiler, straightener, tube magazine and discharge unit, these systems have the capability to be fully automated.
Tubing is clamped on both ends and is set under pressure. A grinding wheel cuts the tube expending but a minimal amount of energy. By regrinding the grinding wheel, tooling costs are minimized.
Shortly before a cut separates the tubing, the remaining uncut tubing is separated through tension. Unlike using a saw, tube burring is avoided.
